If you live in Rosebud, McCrae, Capel Sound, Tootgarook, Rye or Dromana, Supps247 Rosebud is your local supplement store on the southern Mornington Peninsula. This guide is for anyone shopping for protein, creatine, electrolytes or vitamins down here, whether you are a year-round local or only here for the summer.
There are two ways to shop with us. Call into the store on Point Nepean Road and talk it through with the team, or order online from home and have it delivered. Both are covered below, along with the places locals train, from the foreshore parkrun to the climb up Arthurs Seat.
Visit us in store on Point Nepean Road
You will find Supps247 Rosebud at 1073 Point Nepean Rd, Rosebud. Point Nepean Road is the coast road that strings the bayside towns together, from Dromana through McCrae and Rosebud to Capel Sound and beyond, so the store sits on a route most locals already drive or ride every week.
Coming in is the easiest way to settle a decision you are stuck on. A few things people use the store for:
- Comparing two or three protein powders side by side, including what is on each label, how many serves are in the tub and the price per serve.
- Talking through flavours before committing to a big bag, so you do not end up with a kilo of something you will not drink.
- Asking what is in a pre-workout, especially how much caffeine is in one scoop.
- Using our member price match on eligible items. The page sets out exactly what is covered.
For opening hours, phone and directions, check the Supps247 Rosebud store page, which we keep up to date.
Order online from Rosebud
If you would rather shop from the couch, our website delivers Australia-wide, including Rosebud 3939 and the rest of the peninsula. Most orders arrive in about 2 to 8 business days, and shipping is free on orders of $99.99 or more. You can pay with Afterpay if you prefer to split the cost.
Online also suits holiday home owners who split their time between the peninsula and Melbourne: send the order to whichever address you will be at that week. If you are back in the city, our store locator shows every other Supps247 store.
Training around Rosebud
The southern peninsula has a good mix of flat coastal paths, proper hills and organised sport. These are some of the places locals use, with an honest note on what may help for each.
Rosebud parkrun on the foreshore
Rosebud parkrun is a free, timed 5 km run or walk held every Saturday morning on the Rosebud foreshore, opposite Rosebud Parade, with the course running along the beach. Walkers and first timers are welcome. Tie-in: you do not need anything special for 5 km, but on a hot summer morning drink some water beforehand, and if you sweat heavily, an electrolyte drink afterwards is reasonable.
Rosebud and McCrae Bay Trail
This 7 km shared path for walkers and cyclists follows the coast from the southern end of the Dromana foreshore, past Anthony's Nose and the McCrae lighthouse, to the Rosebud foreshore and pier and on to Chinamans Creek in Capel Sound. It is part of the 30 km Mornington Peninsula Bay Trail. Tie-in: a long ride or walk in full sun is when a water bottle and, for longer efforts, an electrolyte mix earn their place.
Arthurs Seat State Park and the Two Bays Walking Trail
For hills, head up Arthurs Seat. Parks Victoria lists short walks such as the 1.8 km Summit Circuit past Seawinds Gardens, and the 26 km Two Bays Walking Trail, which starts on the Dromana foreshore and climbs through the park on its way to Cape Schanck. Parks Victoria notes there are no drinking water taps along the Two Bays trail, so carry all the water you need. Tie-in: for a long hike, pack water, real food and an electrolyte sachet, then plan a proper meal with protein afterwards.
Yawa Aquatic Centre
Yawa is the Shire's aquatic and leisure centre in the Olympic Park sporting precinct, managed by Belgravia Leisure for Mornington Peninsula Shire. It has a 50 metre indoor pool, a warm water pool and a health club with a gym and group fitness studios. Tie-in: swimmers often underestimate how much fluid they lose because they never feel sweaty, so keep a bottle poolside. If you lift in the gym, protein and creatine are the two staples people ask about most.
Olympic Park Reserve: footy, netball, cricket and more
Olympic Park Reserve on Eastbourne Road is home to Rosebud Football Netball Club, Rosebud Junior Football Club, Rosebud Cricket Club, Rosebud Netball Club, Rosebud Soccer Club and Boneo Baseball and Softball Club. Tie-in: through the winter footy and netball season, protein powder can help senior players reach a daily protein target, and creatine is well researched for repeated short bursts like sprints. Junior players should stick to food and water and talk to a GP before using any supplement.
What Rosebud locals ask us about
Shopping down here follows the seasons. Summer brings swimmers, walkers and cyclists out along the bay, and winter is footy and netball. The questions that come up most:
- Electrolytes for long, hot days on the trails or the bike. Our electrolytes guide explains what to look for.
- Protein powder for anyone training regularly who struggles to get enough protein from meals. Start with the protein powder guide.
- Creatine for gym work and team sport. The creatine guide compares popular options.
- Vitamins for general health, with a varied diet coming first.
Supplements add to a good diet; they do not replace one. If you are under 18, pregnant, on medication or managing a medical condition, check with a GP or pharmacist first. For more background on the store, you can also read our earlier post on Supps247 Rosebud.
Rosebud supplement FAQs
Is there a supplement store near Rye or McCrae?
Yes. Supps247 Rosebud at 1073 Point Nepean Rd is on the coast road that links McCrae, Rosebud, Capel Sound and Tootgarook with Rye, so it is the closest Supps247 store for most of the southern peninsula. If you cannot get in, you can order online and have your supplements delivered anywhere on the peninsula.
Do you deliver to Rosebud 3939?
Yes. We deliver Australia-wide, Rosebud 3939 included. Most orders arrive in 2 to 8 business days, and shipping is free on orders of $99.99 or more. Afterpay is available at checkout. Delivery suits people who work in Frankston or Melbourne during the week and want their order waiting at home on the peninsula.
Where can I buy electrolytes in Rosebud?
You can buy electrolytes at Supps247 Rosebud or on our website. In store, the team can show you powders, tablets and sachets side by side so you can compare sodium, sugar and flavour. For short sessions water is usually enough; electrolytes are more useful for long, hot efforts such as the Two Bays trail or a long ride on the Bay Trail.
What supplements do footy players use in preseason?
Start with food: regular meals with protein, carbohydrate around training, and plenty of water. Many senior players then add a protein powder to make their daily target easier and creatine monohydrate for strength and repeated sprints. Pre-workout is optional; check the caffeine content and avoid it late in the day. Junior players should stick to food and talk to a GP before using supplements.
Can I use the price match at Supps247 Rosebud?
Yes, Supps247 members can use our price match on eligible items in store. Conditions apply, so read the price match page on our website before you come in and bring the current listing from the other retailer with you. The team will check it against the same product on our shelves.
