FAQs
What is the difference between EAAs and BCAAs?
Essential amino acids (EAAs) are the nine amino acids your body cannot make. BCAAs are three of them: leucine, isoleucine and valine. In this formula, most of the EAA content comes from the 7 g of BCAAs, while the other six EAAs are present in smaller amounts of 44 to 241 mg each.
Do I need an amino drink if I already eat enough protein?
Probably not for muscle gain alone. The AIS notes most athletes reach their protein targets from food, and it places BCAAs in Group C, where evidence does not support a benefit for athletes. Many people simply use it as a flavoured, sugar-free style drink to sip during long sessions.
When should I drink it?
Legit's directions say before, during or after exercise, and it can be used on non-training days too. Mixing it in 500 ml of water and sipping through your session is a practical way to add fluid while you train.
