Leather Weight Lifting Belt by Heavy Duty is a leather training belt with a double-prong roller buckle, a padded inner lining and double-stitched edges. It is wider across the back and narrower at the buckle, and you brace your core against it during heavy compound lifts such as squats and deadlifts. Choose from Small to XXXL in black, red or blue.
Key features
- Leather belt with a double-prong roller buckle
- Padded, suede-look inner lining
- Tapered shape: wider across the back, narrower at the front buckle
- Double-stitched edges
- Sizes Small, Medium, Large, Extra Large, XXL and XXXL in black, red or blue
Specifications
- Material: leather with a padded inner lining
- Buckle: double-prong roller buckle
- Sizes: Small, Medium, Large, Extra Large, XXL, XXXL
- Colours: black, red, blue
How to use
Wrap the belt around your midsection, just above your hip bones, and fasten it on the hole that feels firm but still lets you take a full breath into your belly. Before each heavy rep, breathe in and brace your core outward against the belt. Loosen or remove it between sets.
Good to know
- A belt helps you brace, but it does not replace good technique or sensible loading.
- Wipe the leather clean with a damp cloth and let it air dry away from direct heat. Do not machine wash.
- Check the buckle, prongs and stitching regularly and stop using the belt if they are damaged.
FAQs
What size should I get?
Measure around your midsection where the belt will sit, usually around the belly button, rather than going by your pants size. Then compare that measurement with the size guide on the packaging, or ask our team in store to help you try one on.
When should I wear a lifting belt?
Save it for your heaviest sets of squats, deadlifts, overhead presses and similar compound lifts. Warm-up sets and lighter accessory work are usually done without a belt so your core keeps working on its own.
How tight should it be?
Tight enough that you can feel the belt when you brace, but loose enough to take a full breath into your belly. If you cannot breathe in properly or the belt digs in painfully, go out one hole.
How do I look after a leather belt?
Wipe off sweat and chalk with a damp cloth after training and let the belt air dry away from heaters and direct sun. Do not soak it or put it in a washing machine, as that can damage the leather and padding.
