FAQs

Do I need BCAAs if I already eat enough protein?

Probably not for performance. The NIH Office of Dietary Supplements reports little evidence that BCAA supplements improve endurance performance, and results for muscle mass and strength are inconsistent. Protein foods and powders already contain BCAAs, so a scoop is mainly a convenient, low-calorie option during training.

What does 2:1:1 mean?

It is the ratio of leucine to isoleucine and valine. Each scoop has 2.5 g of L-leucine and 1.25 g each of L-isoleucine and L-valine, which adds up to 5 g of BCAAs.

Which flavour should I add to a protein shake?

Unflavoured is the simplest choice. Its only other ingredient is sunflower lecithin, so it adds the 5 g of BCAAs without extra flavour, sweetener or colour. The fruit flavours are designed to be mixed with water.

How many serves are in a tub?

Each tub has 30 serves. At one scoop per training session, that lasts about a month of regular training. Scoop weights differ between flavours (about 8.5 g for Blue Raspberry and 5.8 g for Unflavoured), but every scoop gives the same 5 g of BCAAs.
