FAQs
How much magnesium is in a serve?
One flat 2.5 g scoop provides 150 mg of magnesium from four compounds. At the maximum of two serves a day that is 300 mg, under the 350 mg a day upper limit for adults from supplements set by the NIH Office of Dietary Supplements.
Why four forms of magnesium?
ATP Science combines orotate, bisglycinate, threonate and citrate in one blend. The label lists the amount of each compound per serve, so you can see exactly what you are getting, and the 150 mg figure is the magnesium they provide together.
Can magnesium upset my stomach?
Large doses of magnesium from supplements can cause diarrhoea, nausea and abdominal cramping, according to NIH. Stick to the label serve of one or two scoops a day, and talk to your health professional if you take medicines or have a medical condition.
