    What is in EVP 3D

Evogen splits the formula into three blends: pump, hydration and strength, and focus. Here is what each ingredient is and what independent sources say about it.

L-citrulline (3,000 mg) and arginine nitrate (1,000 mg). These are the pump ingredients. Arginine nitrate is Evogen's patented NO3-T, which pairs the amino acid arginine with nitrate. The NIH Office of Dietary Supplements (ODS) says the research does not provide strong support for taking citrulline to enhance exercise, and that arginine's ability to enhance performance has little scientific support. Dietary nitrate, mostly studied as beetroot juice, is in Group A of the Australian Institute of Sport (AIS) Sports Supplement Framework. The label does not say how much nitrate one scoop provides, so you cannot compare it directly with the beetroot juice doses used in studies.

Beta-alanine (1,600 mg). Beta-alanine is also an AIS Group A supplement. The ODS says it appears safe at 1.6 to 6.4 g a day for up to 8 weeks, and that it can cause tingling, most often in the face, neck and hands. The ODS describes that tingling as not painful, serious or harmful. So stim-free does not mean tingle-free.

Creatine monohydrate (1,250 mg) and coconut water powder (500 mg). Creatine monohydrate is an AIS Group A supplement, but one scoop gives less than the 3 to 5 g a day the AIS describes for maintaining creatine stores. If you already take creatine, count this in your daily total. Coconut water powder and 40 mg of sodium from Himalayan pink salt make up the rest of Evogen's hydration blend.

L-tyrosine (500 mg), DMAE (300 mg) and lion's mane extract (250 mg). Evogen includes these for focus. Tyrosine sits in Group C of the AIS framework, which means the evidence does not support a benefit for athletes or there is not enough research to judge. Treat the focus claims as the brand's.

    Who it suits

    • People who train in the evening and want to keep caffeine away from bedtime
    • Lifters who are sensitive to caffeine or want a break from stimulants
    • Anyone who wants a pump-focused product to stack with their usual stimulant pre-workout

    Who should check first

    • Under 18: the label says it is not for use by anyone under 18.
    • Pregnant, planning pregnancy or breastfeeding: the label says do not use.
    • Medical conditions and medicines: the label says not to use it if you have a medical condition or take prescription medicine, and to consult a doctor first. It specifically says do not use it if you take nitrates for chest pain, PDE-5 inhibitors (erectile dysfunction medicines) or MAOI antidepressants, and to stop two weeks before surgery.
    • Allergies: the label lists tree nut (coconut). The facility statement differs between flavours, from peanuts, wheat and eggs on some tubs to a longer list including milk, fish, shellfish and soy on others, so read your tub.
    • Tingle-sensitive: if you dislike the beta-alanine tingle, start with a smaller amount.
    • Drug-tested athletes: Evogen's product page does not state a HASTA or Informed Sport certification. Sport Integrity Australia says no supplement can fully guarantee you will not test positive, so check its guidance and the certifier databases yourself.

    How to use EVP 3D

Evogen's directions: mix 1 scoop with 8 to 10 fl oz (about 240 to 300 ml) of cold water, 20 to 30 minutes before training. Drink plenty of water during your workout and through the day, and do not exceed the recommended serve.

New to beta-alanine? The ODS notes that taking beta-alanine in smaller, divided doses can reduce tingling, so half a scoop is a gentle way to see how you feel before moving to a full scoop.

Stacking with a stimulant pre-workout? EVP 3D adds no caffeine, but your other product probably does. Food Standards Australia New Zealand (FSANZ) advises healthy adults to have no more than 400 mg of caffeine a day from all sources and no more than 200 mg in a single serving, and pregnant or breastfeeding women no more than 200 mg a day. If you are new to a stimulant pre-workout, start with half a serve of it. Read our guide to pre-workout caffeine and Australian rules.

    FAQs

    Does EVP 3D have caffeine?

No. The supplement facts list no caffeine, and Evogen describes EVP 3D as caffeine-free. If you stack it with a stimulant pre-workout, count the caffeine from that product and from any coffee or energy drinks.

Why does EVP 3D make my skin tingle?

That is the 1,600 mg of beta-alanine in each scoop. The NIH ODS says the tingling is common and not painful, serious or harmful, and that smaller doses can reduce it.

When should I take EVP 3D?

Evogen says 20 to 30 minutes before training, mixed with 8 to 10 fl oz (about 240 to 300 ml) of cold water. Because it has no caffeine, it suits late sessions when you still want to sleep afterwards.

Is EVP 3D good for beginners?

It can be, because there is no caffeine to manage. Start with half a scoop if you are new to beta-alanine, and stay within the label serve.

How many serves are in a tub of EVP 3D?

The panel lists about 40 serves of 1 scoop, or about 20 serves of 2 scoops. Scoop weights vary slightly by flavour, from 11.96 g to 13.2 g on the tubs we checked.

Label details checked against the official Evogen product page on 19 October 2026. Formulas can change, so always read the label on the product you buy and follow the directions.
