In the Primabolics Iso-Ripped vs WheyPro choice, pick Iso-Ripped if you want the leanest shake and WheyPro if you want a lower cost per serve. Iso-Ripped is a hydrolysed whey isolate with 26.1 g of protein and almost no carbs or fat per serve on the original label, while WheyPro is a multi-stage blend of hydrolysed isolate, concentrate, BCAAs and collagen. Both come in 750 g (25 serves) and 1.65 kg (55 serves) sizes in Australia, and both are sweetened with stevia.

Cost per serve is the pack price divided by the serves on the label, so use it as a guide. Primabolics has moved Iso-Ripped to a newer V2 label, and depending on the flavour you may get the original or the V2 pack. The V2 label lists 25 g of protein, 2.1 g of carbs and 0.8 g of fat per 30 g scoop. Values vary slightly between flavours, so check the panel on your tub for the exact numbers.
What is the difference between Iso-Ripped and WheyPro?
Whey protein isolate is filtered more than whey concentrate, so it carries more protein per gram and less lactose, carbs and fat. Hydrolysed whey has also been partly broken down. Iso-Ripped is built on hydrolysed isolate only, which is why its original label shows just 0.3 g of carbs and 0.4 g of fat per serve.
WheyPro mixes four things: hydrolysed isolate, whey concentrate, added BCAAs and Peptinex collagen. The concentrate makes it cheaper to produce, and the label does not say how much of each protein source goes into a scoop.
That collagen detail matters a little. Collagen is missing tryptophan, one of the essential amino acids, so on its own it is classed as an incomplete protein. A 2019 review in Nutrients found collagen can make up a decent share of your daily protein without hurting overall protein quality, as long as the rest of your diet is varied. In a whey-based blend like WheyPro, the whey still supplies plenty of essential amino acids, but gram for gram it is not quite the same as a pure whey isolate.
For building muscle, both will do the job. The ISSN protein position stand says total daily protein matters most, and suggests 1.4 to 2.0 g per kg of body weight a day for most people who train, often spread as 20 to 40 g per meal. Either shake helps you reach that number. Not sure how much you need? Read our how much protein per day guide.
Choose Iso-Ripped if
- You are cutting and counting every gram of carbs and fat.
- Regular whey makes you bloated. Isolate is lower in lactose, though it is not lactose free.
- You want lots of flavour choice. We stock more than 10 flavours of Iso-Ripped in the 750 g size, including Choc Milkshake, Salted Caramel, Iced Latte and Choc Mint Cookie.
- You want a proven favourite. Iso-Ripped has been one of our best-selling protein powders over the last six months.
Choose WheyPro if
- You want the lower cost per serve from Primabolics. In the 1.65 kg size, WheyPro works out at about $2.91 a serve at the time of writing, against $3.82 for Iso-Ripped.
- You are bulking or maintaining, so a little extra carbs and fat from the concentrate makes no difference.
- You like having BCAAs and collagen in the same tub, and you already eat a mix of other protein foods.
- You like dessert flavours. The range includes Strawberry Sundae, Vanilla Cake Frosting, Choc Malt and Peanut Brittle.

Which size should you buy?
For both proteins the 1.65 kg tub is roughly a fifth cheaper per serve than the 750 g size. Iso-Ripped drops from about $4.80 to $3.82 a serve, and WheyPro from about $3.60 to $2.91.
If you have not tried a flavour before, start with a 750 g pack, then size up once you know you like it. Some Supps247 stores also offer free taste tests, so you can try a flavour before you buy. Our verdict
For most people who are cutting, or who find regular whey heavy on the stomach, Iso-Ripped is the better pick. It is the leaner, purer whey of the two and one of our most popular proteins. If you are building muscle on a budget and do not mind a few extra carbs, WheyPro gives you a lower cost per serve from the same brand.

FAQs
Is Iso-Ripped or WheyPro better for weight loss?
Iso-Ripped is the leaner option, with 0.3 g of carbs and 0.4 g of fat per serve on the original label, so it suits a cut where you are tracking every gram. WheyPro still fits a diet if you count its calories, and it costs less per serve. For fat loss, your total daily calories and protein matter far more than which of these two shakes you pick.
How much protein is in Primabolics Iso-Ripped?
The original Iso-Ripped label lists 26.1 g of protein, 0.3 g of carbohydrate and 0.4 g of fat per serve, with a scoop of about 30 g. The newer V2 label lists 25 g of protein, 2.1 g of carbohydrate and 0.8 g of fat per 30 g scoop. Values vary slightly between flavours, so check the nutrition panel on the tub you buy.
What is in Primabolics WheyPro?
WheyPro is a multi-stage blend. The label lists hydrolysed whey protein isolate, whey protein concentrate, added BCAAs and Peptinex grass-fed collagen, plus DigeZyme digestive enzymes and Irish sea moss, and it is sweetened with stevia. The Choc Malt label lists 23 g of protein per 30 g scoop. It contains milk, so it does not suit anyone with a milk allergy.
Is Primabolics Iso-Ripped lactose free?
No. Whey isolate is filtered to remove most of the lactose, so many people who feel bloated on regular whey find isolate easier to handle, but it is not lactose free and it still contains milk. If you have a diagnosed lactose intolerance or a milk allergy, read the label and check with your GP or a dietitian before using it.
Can I try Primabolics flavours before I buy?
Yes, at some stores. Supps247 offers free taste tests at stores that offer them, so ask staff if you want to try an Iso-Ripped or WheyPro flavour before committing. Online, the 750 g size is the easiest way to test a new flavour before you buy the 1.65 kg tub. Use our store locator to find a store near you.
