Is boron an essential nutrient?
Not officially. The NIH says boron is not classified as an essential nutrient for humans and there is not enough data to set a recommended daily intake. It does set an upper limit of 20 mg a day for adults, well above the 3 mg in each capsule.
Does boron help bones?
Boron has been studied for bone health, mainly in animals. The NIH says more research is needed to know whether boron supplements affect bone health in people, so treat it as one small part of your overall diet rather than a stand-alone fix.
