Best Multivitamins in Australia
A multivitamin is often the first supplement people buy, but labels vary more than you might expect, especially in vitamin D, zinc, iron and vitamin B6, the nutrients that are easiest to double up on. This page ranks the best multivitamins in Australia that we stock, starting with the ones our customers bought most in our stores and online over the last six months, and checks each label for the daily dose of those nutrients and anything extra in the bottle. Updated October 2026.

1. Condemned Labz Multi: best overall
Condemned Labz Multi (sold as CNDMND Multi) is our best-selling multivitamin that meets the criteria for this page. A two-tablet serve covers the main vitamins and minerals at sensible doses, including 20 mcg of vitamin D3, 11 mg of zinc and 150 mcg of iodine, with vitamin B12 as methylcobalamin and magnesium as bisglycinate. There is no iron on the label, so you are not doubling up on iron you already get from food.
- Per 2 tablets: vitamin D3 20 mcg, vitamin K2 (as MK-7) 120 mcg and vitamin C 90 mg
- Zinc 11 mg, selenium 70 mcg, iodine 150 mcg and magnesium 100 mg
- Folate 400 mcg DFE (as folic acid) and vitamin B12 205 mcg
- No iron listed; 30 serves (60 tablets)
- The front label says it is third-party lab tested, gluten free and GMO free
Worth knowing: It contains 120 mcg of vitamin K2, and the NIH Office of Dietary Supplements advises people on blood-thinning medicines to check with their doctor before taking a multivitamin with vitamin K. It also includes boron (3 mg) and vanadium (100 mcg).
2. MuscleTech Platinum Multi Vitamin: best for active people who want extras
MuscleTech Platinum Multi Vitamin is aimed at gym-goers, with an amino blend and a herbal blend added to 18 vitamins and minerals. A three-tablet serve has 10 mcg of vitamin D and 13.3 mg of zinc with no iron, and much more of some B vitamins than most multis: 20.2 mg of thiamine, 13.3 mg of riboflavin and 10.2 mg of vitamin B6.
- Per 3 tablets: vitamin D 10 mcg, zinc 13.3 mg, vitamin C 135 mg and vitamin E 40.1 mg
- Vitamin A 1,800 mcg (retinyl acetate and beta-carotene)
- Amino support matrix of 816 mg, almost all glycine (806 mg)
- Herbal matrix of 401 mg, including ginkgo, green coffee bean extract, turmeric, saw palmetto and echinacea
- Directions: 3 tablets with a glass of water daily; 30 serves (90 tablets)
Worth knowing: The current panel lists 816 mg of amino support and 401 mg of herbs, while the bottle front in our photos says 865 mg and 536 mg, so check the panel on the bottle you buy. The label says it is not for use if pregnant or breastfeeding and may cause flushing, and its 10.2 mg of B6 is just over the 10 mg level at which the TGA requires a nerve-symptom warning on medicines.

3. VITAFORM Premium Multi-Vitamin for Women: best for women
VITAFORM for Women by Allmax is the women's multivitamin on this page. Two tablets after breakfast give 20 mcg (800 IU) of vitamin D3, 15 mg of zinc, 500 mg of calcium and 668 mcg DFE of folate, plus six small blends that include green tea extract, Asian and Siberian ginseng, ginkgo, L-theanine, MSM, glucosamine and chondroitin.
- Per 2 tablets: vitamin D3 20 mcg (800 IU), zinc 15 mg and calcium 500 mg
- Folate 668 mcg DFE (400 mcg folic acid), vitamin B12 6 mcg and biotin 300 mcg
- Vitamin A 1,500 mcg RAE (as palmitate) and vitamin K1 80 mcg
- No iron listed; 30 serves
- Directions: 2 tablets daily after breakfast, and no more than 2 in 24 hours
Worth knowing: With no iron, it will not cover higher iron needs, so ask your GP if you think you need iron. The label advises talking to a health practitioner before use if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, have blood pressure concerns or take products that affect blood clotting, and for use beyond one month. The glucosamine comes from shellfish.
4. Biokey Multivitamin: best value
Biokey Multivitamin costs the least per daily serve of our picks and is the only one here with some iron. Two capsules give 10 mcg of vitamin D, 10 mg of zinc (as glycinate) and 4 mg of iron (as ferrous glycinate), plus 150 mcg of iodine and a full B group, in plant-based HPMC capsules.
- Per 2 capsules: vitamin D 10 mcg (400 IU), zinc 10 mg and iron 4 mg
- Vitamin B6 41 mg, thiamine 75 mg, niacin 75 mg and vitamin B12 75 mcg
- Vitamin A 750 mcg (as retinyl palmitate), vitamin C 100 mg and iodine 150 mcg
- Added inositol (50 mg) and L-tyrosine (5 mg)
- Directions: 2 capsules in the morning with food; 30 serves
Worth knowing: Its 41 mg of vitamin B6 is high for a multivitamin. The TGA says B6 can cause peripheral neuropathy (tingling, burning or numbness, usually in the hands or feet) and that the risk cannot be ruled out below 50 mg a day, so avoid stacking it with other products that contain B6, such as some magnesium or B complex supplements. The label says it is not intended for pregnant or nursing women.
5. Beast Labs MultiVitamin: best budget iron-free pick
Beast Labs MultiVitamin is a smaller seller for us, but it is worth a look if you like the Condemned Labz formula and want capsules for less per serve. Its nutrition panel lists the same amounts as pick 1, including 20 mcg of vitamin D3, 11 mg of zinc, 120 mcg of vitamin K2 and 205 mcg of vitamin B12, with no iron.
- Per 2 capsules: vitamin D3 20 mcg, zinc 11 mg (glycinate chelate) and magnesium 100 mg (bisglycinate)
- Vitamin K2 (as MK-7) 120 mcg, folate 400 mcg DFE and vitamin B12 205 mcg (methylcobalamin)
- Iodine 150 mcg and selenium 70 mcg; no iron listed
- 30 serves (60 capsules), imported and distributed by Beast Labs Nutrition Australia
Worth knowing: The label photo we checked shows the nutrition panel but not the directions, so follow the instructions on your bottle. As with pick 1, the vitamin K2 matters if you take a blood-thinning medicine.
How we chose
We ranked multivitamins by units sold at Supps247 stores and online over the last six months, combined sizes of the same product and kept only products that are live on our website and in stock. We then left out any multivitamin whose daily dose has more than 25 mcg (1,000 IU) of vitamin D or 25 mg or more of zinc, so there is room for food and for any separate vitamin D or zinc your doctor suggests, and any product we could not check against a full label. That ruled out several popular men's and women's formulas. Label facts were checked against brand labels in October 2026. Value tiers come from price per daily serve at the time of writing: $ is cheaper than most picks on this page, $$ is in the middle and $$$ is premium. Brands do not pay for placement.
How to choose a multivitamin
Start with your diet. The NIH Office of Dietary Supplements (NIH ODS) says a multivitamin may help people who do not get enough vitamins and minerals from food alone, are on low-calorie diets or have a poor appetite, but that most studies have found little or no effect on long-term health outcomes. The Australian Institute of Sport classes supplements used for diagnosed nutrient deficiencies as medical supplements, best used under the guidance of a doctor or accredited sports dietitian.
Add up vitamin D, zinc, iron and vitamin A. The NIH ODS notes that a multivitamin can raise the chance of getting too much of some nutrients, such as iron, vitamin A, zinc, niacin and folic acid, especially if you also take other supplements or fortified foods. Every pick here keeps vitamin D at 20 mcg or less and zinc at 15 mg or less a day. The NIH ODS also says smokers, and perhaps former smokers, should avoid multivitamins with large amounts of beta-carotene and vitamin A.
Watch vitamin B6. The TGA has warned that B6 can cause peripheral neuropathy and that medicines with more than 10 mg a day must carry a warning. Australia's upper level for adults is 50 mg a day. B6 turns up in many magnesium, zinc and B complex products, so check every label. On this page, B6 ranges from 2 mg (Condemned Labz, VITAFORM, Beast Labs) to 41 mg (Biokey).
Iron is a deliberate choice. Only Biokey lists iron. If you have heavy periods or have been told your iron is low, ask your GP whether you need iron and how much, rather than relying on a multivitamin.
Read the extras. MuscleTech and VITAFORM add herbs such as ginkgo, ginseng and green tea extract, and three picks include vitamin K (K2 in Condemned Labz and Beast Labs, K1 in VITAFORM). If you take regular medication, show the label to your pharmacist. If you are pregnant or planning a pregnancy, talk to your doctor about a pregnancy-specific product; the MuscleTech and Biokey labels say they are not for use in pregnancy.
Compare every option in our multivitamin range or our vitamin D range, and read our guide to supplements for women over 40.
FAQs
What is the best multivitamin in Australia?
There is no single best multivitamin for everyone. Condemned Labz Multi is our best seller that meets the criteria on this page, with 20 mcg of vitamin D, 11 mg of zinc and no iron in two tablets. Biokey is the best value per serve and the only pick with iron, and VITAFORM for Women is our women's pick. Choose by the daily dose of vitamin D, zinc, iron and B6, and by what else you already take.
What is the best multivitamin for men?
For men, the main thing to check is iron. The NIH ODS notes that a multivitamin can raise the chance of getting too much of some nutrients, including iron, so unless your GP says you need it, an iron-free formula is a sensible default. Condemned Labz Multi, MuscleTech Platinum and Beast Labs list no iron. Several men's formulas we stock were left out because their daily vitamin D or zinc was above our limits.
What is the best multivitamin for women?
VITAFORM Premium Multi-Vitamin for Women is our pick, with 20 mcg of vitamin D3, 15 mg of zinc, 500 mg of calcium and 668 mcg DFE of folate in two tablets. It has no iron, so if you have heavy periods or have been told your iron is low, ask your GP about a separate iron supplement. If you are pregnant or planning a pregnancy, talk to your doctor about a pregnancy-specific product.
Do I need a multivitamin if I eat a healthy diet?
Possibly not. The NIH ODS says most studies have found that multivitamins have little or no effect on long-term health outcomes, and that they are most useful for people who do not get enough vitamins and minerals from food alone, are on low-calorie diets or have a poor appetite. A multivitamin can help cover gaps in your diet, but it is not a replacement for a varied diet.
Can I take a multivitamin with vitamin D, zinc or magnesium?
Often yes, but add up the totals first. The NIH ODS advises checking that a multivitamin plus your other supplements and fortified foods does not take any nutrient above its upper limit. Vitamin B6 is easy to double up on because it appears in many magnesium, zinc and B complex products, and the TGA warns it can cause nerve symptoms. Our picks keep vitamin D at 20 mcg or less and zinc at 15 mg or less a day.
When should I take a multivitamin?
Take it with food, as the labels direct. Biokey says to take two capsules in the morning with food, because taking them on an empty stomach may cause an upset stomach. VITAFORM for Women says two tablets after breakfast, and MuscleTech says three tablets with a glass of water daily. Taking it at the same meal each day makes it easier to remember.
