Red yeast rice is a traditional natural ingredient that has been used in Asian herbal practices since around 800 A.D. It is created by fermenting red yeast (Monascus purpureus) with white rice and is well known for enhancing both the colour and flavour of foods, such as the distinct qualities found in Peking Duck.

NOW® Red Yeast Rice is produced with great care to ensure it is free from citrinin, an undesirable by-product of the fermentation process.

Suggested Use
Take 2 capsules, 1 to 2 times daily, preferably with meals.
