The carob tree `Ceratonia Siliqua' produces carob beans which are 90% pulp, also referred to as kibble, and 10% seed. The kibble is what is used for carob powder and is made up of sugars, tannins and Non-starch polysaccharides. The kibble is roasted and ground to make the carob powder.

- Honest to Goodness Certified Organic Carob Powder is a naturally sweet and caffeine-free alternative to cocoa powder, chocolate or drinking chocolate. It has a unique, sweet yet earthy, malt taste.
- Grown and produced in Australia, our carob powder is made from pods grown on carob trees selectively chosen for their thick, rich, luscious pods — not for the seeds. This carob powder is roasted, NOT raw. It is calcium and antioxidant rich, low in fat and high in fibre.
- Substitute Carob in place of cocoa at a ratio of one to one, however you may choose to reduce the other sweeteners by roughly one quarter.
- To substitute chocolate with carob, use approximately 3 tablespoons of carob powder in place of each square of chocolate.
- No GMO. No added sugar. No artificial colours, flavours or preservatives.
